Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examination Board (KASNEB)

A: Technician Examinations

  1. Accounting Technicians Certificate (ATC Level 1 & Level 2)
    Minimum Entry Requirement - KCSE D+ (plus)

  2. Information Communication Technology Technicians (ICTT Level 1 & Level 2)
    Minimum Entry Requirement - KCSE D+ (plus)

  3. Credit Management Technicians (CMT Level 1 & Level 2)
    Minimum Entry Requirement - KCSE D+ (plus)

B: Professional Examinations

  1. Certified Public Accountants (CPA Parts 1-3     Sections 1- 6)
    Minimum Entry Requirement - KCSE C+ (plus) with C+ in Maths and Eng or ACT

  2. Certified Public Secretaries (CPS Parts 1-3    Sections 1- 6)
    Minimum Entry Requirement - KCSE C+ (plus) with C+ in Maths and Eng or ACT

  3. Certified Information Communication Technologists (CICT Parts 1-3      Sections 1-6)
    Minimum Entry Requirement - KCSE C+ (plus) with C+ in Maths and Eng or ACT

  4. Certified Credit Professionals (CCP Parts 1-3    Sections 1- 6)
    Minimum Entry Requirement - KCSE C+ (plus) with C+ in Maths and Eng or ACT

Specific Entry Requirements for the Professional Examinations
(one of the following)

  1. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination with an aggregate average of at least grade C plus (C+) provided the applicant has obtained a minimum of a grade C plus (C+) in both English and Mathematics.
  2. Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) with at least TWO Principal passes provided that the applicant has credits in Mathematics and English at Kenya Certificate of Education (KCE) level.
  3. KASNEB technician or professional examination certificate. (iv) A degree from a recognized university.
  4. Such other certificates or diplomas as may be approved by KASNEB.

NB: Prospective Students with strong Mock Results will be considered after interview/Screening


The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA - UK)

A: Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) Qualification

  1. Introductory Level: Minimum Entry Requirement - KCSE D+ (plus)
  2. Intermediate Level
  3. Advanced Level

B: ACCA Fundamentals Level

  1. Knowledge Level
    • F1 Accounting In Business

    • F3 Financial Accounting

  2. Skills Level
    • F4 Corporate & Business Law
    • F5 Performance Management
