Kenya National Examination Council offers two Human Resources programs; Diploma in Personnel Management and Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management.
Diploma in Personnel Management
Entry requirements
- Craft Certificate in Personnel Management or
- KCSE mean grade C- and above or
- KCE Division 3
Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management
Entry requirements
- Diploma in Personnel Management (KNEC) at the technical level
- Diploma in Labour Management Studies (KNEC) or Diploma in Business Administration (KNEC) at the technical level but which must have a minimum of at least 3 of the following subjects: Organizational Behaviour, Labour and Industrial Relations, Human Resource Management, Labour and Industrial Law, Sociology of Work and Psychology work.
- A degree from a recognized University

Each level takes 6 months
MODES OF STUDY
FULL – TIME CLASSES
There are two full – time courses each year.
1st Semester: Early January to early May
Monday – Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00pm
2nd Semester: Early July to early November
Monday – Friday 8:30 am to 4:00 pm
PART – TIME (Evening) CLASSES
There are two part-time courses each year.
1st Semester: Early January to early May
Monday – Friday 5:30 pm to 7:30pm, Saturday 8:30 to 1:00pm
2nd Semester: Early July to early November
Monday – Friday 5:30pm to 7:30pm, Saturday 8:30am to 1:00pm
Distance Learning

Registration & Examination
- Examinations are conducted by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) with whom students must register.
- Examinations are held twice a year, in July and November
- Examination registration is done in February for the July exams and July for the November exams.
