Diploma in Human Resource Development
Entry requirements
- KCSE Mean Grade C–
- KCSE Division 3
- A first degree
- Mature students of over the age of 21 years, provided they have been in full time employment for a minimum of 3 years.
Certification
The program is divided into two parts
- On successful completion of all part 1 subjects students are awarded the ICM Diploma in Human Resources Development and
- On successful completion of all parts 1 and 2 subject’s students are awarded the ICM Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Development.

Each level takes 6 months
MODES OF STUDY
FULL – TIME CLASSES
There are two full – time courses each year.
1st Semester: Early January to early May
Monday – Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00pm
2nd Semester: Early July to early November
Monday – Friday 8:30 am to 4:00 pm
PART – TIME (Evening) CLASSES
There are two part-time courses each year.
1st Semester: Early January to early May
Monday – Friday 5:30 pm to 7:30pm, Saturday 8:30 to 1:00pm
2nd Semester: Early July to early November
Monday – Friday 5:30pm to 7:30pm, Saturday 8:30am to 1:00pm
Distance Learning

Registration & Examination
- Those wishing to sit for examinations must register with ICM as students. Closing dates are published together with timetables at the beginning of each year.
- Examinations are held in March, June, September and December.
Continuing Education
- The Advanced Diploma in HRM may be offered as an entrance qualification for relevant degree studies and for entry to a wide range of MBA’s (Subject to examination grades, age and work experience)
- A number of subjects may be accepted for subject exemption and credit purposes by other examining bodies and Universities.
