Kenya Accounting Technicians Certificate
KATC is for those who wish to obtain qualifications as specialized middle level accountants. The examination is divided into two levels: KATC Intermediate and KATC Final Level.
Target Group
Those already in employment, school leavers and the self employed.
Entry requirements
- Mean Grade D (Plain)
- KCE Division III
Intakes to the Program
There are two intakes into the program: January and July
Duration
Each level takes 5 months
MODES OF STUDY
FULL – TIME CLASSES
There are two full – time courses each year.
1st Semester: Early January to early May
Monday – Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00pm
2nd Semester: Early July to early November
Monday – Friday 8:30 am to 4:00 pm
PART – TIME (Evening) CLASSES
There are two part-time courses each year.
1st Semester: Early January to early May
Monday – Friday 5:30 pm to 7:30pm, Saturday 8:30 to 1:00pm
2nd Semester: Early July to early November
Monday – Friday 5:30pm to 7:30pm, Saturday 8:30am to 1:00pm
Registration and Examination
It is the responsibility of students to ensure that they have obtained necessary registration from KASNEB. Proof of the same should be provided to TIM.
Registration (Student ship)
- Initial Registration 30th November for those wishing to sit the examination in June.
- Initial Registration 31st May for those wishing to sit the examination in December.
Registration (Examination)
- Deadline; 15th February for those wishing to sit the examination in June.
- Deadline; 15th August for those wishing to sit the examination in December.
Note: Up to one month is allowed of late registration / exam entry. 50% of the normal fee is levied as penalty for late registration.
